in both the topic presented and in teaching.
A 200-hour aromatherapy program providing an in-depth exploration of the
art and science of essential oils. Approved by the National Association for
Holistic Aromatherapy. Taught in Ithaca, NY and Sarasota, FL. The classes are geared for students to gain a deeper understanding of aromatherapy and how essential oils can be utilized professionally. The program focuses on the study of essential oil chemistry and energetics. Students make essential oil products such as aromatic cream blends, room sprays, sinus inhalers, diffuser blends, massage oils, and bath salts.
Essential oils are used preventatively to maintain health, as well as during acute and chronic stages of illness. They are a natural plant-based medicine designed to stimulate the body's immune system, support one's natural ability to maintain balance, and facilitate healing.

This is a series of Shiatsu training classes. In level 1, there are four workshops and each class focuses on one of the four Shiatsu positions (prone, supine, side lying, and sitting) that enable students to give a whole body Shiatsu session with ease and confidence. This is the beginning level for Shiatsu bodywork (mostly hands-on), and prepare them to continue on to more comprehensive Shiatsu study (Level 2) for those who would like to further pursue Shiatsu practice and theory. These workshops will be offered regularly throughout the year and will be repeated. Students can retake the same workshop with a discount. Please contact Yumi for more information. HEARTSTONE HERBAL SCHOOL WORKSHOPS
The Heart as an Organ of Perception
Direct sensing of the world around us has been our birthright since our dawning. Shamans and healers have carried this knowing in their traditions and it is time for our re-membering. Currently referred to in scientific literature as “heart literacy” or “heart coherence”, it can be used in everyday life to access and communicate with the world around us. Based on the teachings of the Heartmath Institute, Stephen Buhner, and Paul Pearsall, we will explore the “new science” of the heart, clear techniques for accessing this incredible center for perceiving the world around us and how living from this heart-centered place will benefit our own health and the health of life around us. Research shows that using these skills improves the quality of our responses and decision-making, increases our immunity, lowers high blood pressure and our risk of heart disease. This information offers invaluable guidance in our work with clients, patients and students as well our own personal health and well-being.

Are you longing to come home to the natural world but are unsure how and where to start?
Do you want to feel more confident or safe in the woods? Do you long to feel your rightful connection to spirit in your home in the wild? Or, do you wish for like-minded others to explore all these ideas with? Then this is the place for you. We will devote the two days to exploring the inner and outer realms of what it means to live connected to the natural world. We will connect with spirit both by practicing the physical skills of shelter (tent set-up), fire-making, outdoor cooking (with an outdoor stove and maybe on the fire for fun), wild edible and plant identification and by practicing various awareness skills, as we sit and walk and sleep within the green world.
This weekend is a first in a series, filled with many hands on activities balanced with grounded journeys inward. Each successive weekend is designed to enhance your skill-base and deepen your confidence and comfort in the natural world.
