Human Anatomy & Physiology, and Kinesiology

Hands-on exploration and in-class laboratories are common features of these information-rich courses:

  • Human Anatomy and Physiology provides students with practical knowledge of the systems of the human body and their relationship to massage

  • Kinesiology provides students with an embodied understanding of the structures of the human body that interact to create movement

Professional Clinic Practicum & Community Service

Each FLSM student graduates with an enviable resume of supervised clinical experiences. While participating in our Community Service Clinic, students can choose to work with senior citizens, hospital patients at local medical centers, adults with developmental disabilities, clients living in local long-term care and memory-care facilities, and athletes at a variety of regional sporting events. Students frequently express the ways in which these clients have inspired them. Other interested members of the local community also receive massage in our afterschool clinic.
