If you are interested in becoming a massage therapist, we offer a unique opportunity for massage therapy training in Ithaca, NY - one that holds the potential to help others and to change your life.
Our full-time and part-time massage therapy programs are based in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York state. For more than a decade, FLSM has offered 1,000-hour, New York state-approved holistic massage therapy training to talented students, preparing them to enter the healthcare field as highly qualified massage therapists with thorough working knowledge of the human body and the art of bodywork.
After completing our six-month, full-time, massage therapy certification program or our 22-month, part-time program, graduates receive New York massage therapy certification and are eligible to sit for the licensing exam in New York. They are also eligible to take the exam given by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. In addition, graduates of our program are eligible to take the exams offered by most other licensing states requiring bodywork training.
Our teaching philosophy is to honor and encourage the individual in a supportive environment. We encourage our students to use this program as a tool for both professional development and personal growth. More than a vocational school, FLSM is a place of discovery and transformation.
